FLASH: Elvira Arellano Has Been Deported

The AP is reporting that Elvira was arrested Sunday outside Our Lady Queen of Angels Roman Catholic Church in Los Angeles and deported.

"She has been deported. She is free and in Tijuana," said Rev. Walter Coleman, pastor of Adalberto United Methodist Church in Chicago, where Arellano had been living.

"She is in good spirits. She is ready to continue the struggle against the separation of families from the other side of the border."
Elvira's 8 year old son Saul--an American citizen--was left under the care of the Pastor Coleman and his wife.

What a tragedy!

Clearly, the U.S. government--and its rightwingers--wanted to silence Elvira. While they have unlimited propaganda capacity, a single undocumented woman, the mother of a U.S. citizen, operating without resources and out of a storefront church in Chicago, was too much of a challenge.

For these people, the maid should always keep her mouth shut.

I can see the screechers and haters patting themselves on the back as they boast about taking down Elvira. What a splendid victory. What a trophy.

Q: Have they truly silenced Elvira?

Absolutely not!

She is now free to take her story to the world. Given all that the U.S. has chosen to represent to the peoples of the world, Elvira's story will now confirm.

Way to go guys!

Elvira Arellano Deported... a sad and shameful ending. Bitter sweet but seriously what do you do. Here we have a fine young single mother with a little child who comes into America illegally, then continues to break laws which are Felony’s of America by using someone’s else’s S.S. # in which any normal US citizen would be arrested and thrown into prison for such a crime especially after 911 and to add fuel to the fire, these witch hunters who track down the illegal felons who come into America putting strain and burden for the shoulders of countless US citizens to pick up the tab for insurance, medical, education, gangs, jails, drug’s, drunks and 100’s of other things not mentioned that add to the problem. Freedom and Free choice is what all Americans have and is also what most counties want. Interesting concept Freedom it’s a shame that the people of Mexico do not raise to the occasion and take over there very corrupted government with there own blood and mirror what we have here in America, I mean if I recall America has had wars to protect there freedom, men and women and children gave there lives for us. Freedom costs, it costs a lot to be able to stand up and make a change, I mean seriously they are coming here to America for a better opportunity. Lets take free choice for example. I doubt anyone put a gun to poor Elvira Arellano head when she made a choice to come here illegally? And what would her Mexican government do if someone was coming in there country from the north illegally, I think if I recall they DEPORT them or throw them in JAIL. And what about Elvira husband or the man who impregnated her, where is he? She gave free choice to him to have un-material sex and the out come of sex is usually babies. These are the one’s who get hurt the most. The poor innocent children who will pay the biggest price for such selfishness by the adults, it happens all to much in this society today, and if you continue to allow people to come to America with out enforcing the laws that protect Americans not illegal Aliens then you end up with something that looks just like Mexico, then it becomes corrupted. The answer is, if you are here illegally, then you need to either accept the fact that if you get caught you will be deported regardless of your situation or you can go to the BACK of the LINE and do what you are supposed to do and come in LEGUALY.

Just a thought of a American “WHO’S FATHER, TWO UNCLES AND GREAT GRAND FATHER GAVE THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT AMERICANS AND OUR FREEDOM

Here is the problem, the U.S. government chose to ignore it's own laws, U.S. employers chose to break the law and encouraged people to come here illegally to work illegally, and millions of Mexican citizens chose to break U.S. law to come here for work.

Whether they like it or not there is a legal path that must be taken to come to this, or any other country in the world. If you CHOOSE to break the law to come here, you must live with the consequences of your actions, it is called RESPONSIBILITY. The people of this country are forcing their government to take responsibility for the laws that they put in place for our security and sovereignty. It is not just the "right wing" of this country who are angry at our government for their blatant disregard for their own laws, but the Majority of American's (both Republicans and Democrats), who stood up recently and told them ENOUGH!

The Mexican government is corrupt and the majority of it's people are living in poverty. This is not the fault of U.S. citizens. Over 200 years ago the citizens of the American colonies stood up against tyranny and fought for their freedom. They created a new form of government and a great Nation. Our forefathers gave their blood so we could live free, maybe it is time for the people of Mexico to face their oppressors and fight for the right to build a great nation of their own.

For those who are being deported to Mexico who leave their children behind must explain to us why their illegal act should become our problem? WE did not force them to come here against our laws to have their children in our hospitals, at OUR expense. They are responsible for their own actions and must now pay for their own mistakes, unfortunately the children will also be forced to pay for their parents mistakes as well.

I'm not a right-winger. I'm an American who is very concerned about the complete disregard by ILLEGAL ALIENS and OUR GOVERNMENT for the immigration laws of our country. President Bush has been one of worst do-nothing Presidents we have ever had when it comes to the issue of illegal immigration. He has basically stuck his head in the sand and pretended it isn't a problem. If things keep going the way they are, we may have to resort to standing up and once again defending out country - this time from our own government's stupidity on this issue.
