At last, a song that chronicles in verse Barack Obama's historic journey to become the first Black Irish President of the United States. There's no-one as Irish as Barack O'Bama is performed by Shay Black of the Black Brothers, and recorded September 14th, 2008 at the Starry Plough pub in Berkeley, California.
The song was written by Hardy Drew and The Nancy Boys. Here's the original version:
Both versions are lots of fun -- and remind us of are common humanity.
